About me

I'm a freelancing web developer and web designer close to Borås and Gothenburg who helps businesses build modern web sites and applications.

Since 2013 I run my own company in Borås where I help both small and large customers solve problems. My success builds on respect for my clients time and budgets.

I have been programming for soon 20 years. Previously I studied in Tokyo for two years while teaching English and at the same time building websites. After that I attended the Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden studying software engineering.

Outside of work

In my free time I also do programming for various hobby projects. From time to time I also contribute to the open source community.

To write has always been an important passion for my. Both here on marcusolsson.me and previously on multiple other websites, travel journals and other publications. For a while I also wrote about digital entertainment and games both on the web and in the newspaper City Skåne (now Sydsvenskan).

When not programming or writing, my wife Hanna and my friends are the center of my attention.
